I had some bits and pieces lying around, and i decided to crate a demolisher with a siege shield to go with my next army. I already own a space marine army, but i want to play a different chapter, so i will be playing a dark angel army (soon i hope). I have already ordered my soldiers from e-bay! The vindicator will support my Death wing squads very well.

I created the siege shield from two normal dozer blades. And i modified the front of the old Rhino to hold a Imperial mortar which acts as the demolisher cannon. At this stage i found out that the sides of the rhino i was using, where not perfectly straight. This caused some problems with the alignment siege shield. The siege shield is now slightly off center. This does not bother me so i do not think i will do anything about is. But the model as is does not look all that good (i think a nice even base coat will fix this).

I looked at some pictures on internet to find out what still had to be done. I noticed the old style vindicator was wider than the Rhino model, so i adapted the model to be wider than the original. I placed a (filled down) razorback cover on top of the rhino, and added and old computer fan i had lying around. Because the sides where now a little dull, i added a door on each side of the vindicator, and added come extra exhaust bits.

Eventually i created the stormbolter gunner. I thought a heavy stubber looked better than a small stormbolter as pintle mounted support. The gunner model does not fit on the old rhino model so i made a new posision out of a 20 mm base. There are still things todo on the model. I will make a grid on the left side of the vindicator (like the one on the engine compartments). And then of course there must be painting…..
